Investors in African startups drop to lowest numbers since 2021, says report
Number of investors in financing deals over $100,000 dropped to about 520 in 2024 from over 850 in 2021. Active investors participating in more than ten deals of $100,000 fell from 28 in 2022 to 8 in 2024.

Zazuu, the fintech marketplace for cross-border payment networks in Africa, has shut down after failing to raise funding. The startup operated on the belief that a marketplace where customers could choose the cheapest remittance option could help lower prices by bringing transparency and increasing
