The Travel Buddy app is a road-travel safety and convenience consumer app, primarily targeted towards Nigerian users. The aim of the app is to help users by providing timely information and resources to mitigate the known dangers and inconveniences of traveling by road in Nigeria (intercity/interstate).

These include but are not limited to: bad roads; high risk of accident; risk of robbery or kidnapping; poor access to emergency safety resources such as police, medical ambulance and hospitals. In addition to road-safety features, the app will also offer travel convenience features such as transport company reviews and recommendations, travel vehicle information tracking, emergency contact notification, arrival time estimates, over-speeding notifications, etc.

The intended user flow of the app expects that users will make use of the app in the following scenarios:

• Soon before embarking a trip (for planning and inputting upcoming trip details)
• During a trip (to gain easy access to emergency resources)
• Soon after a completing a trip (to write reviews and share travel incidents/incurrences)
