Colab is northern Nigeria’s first Innovation Hub and Co-working space, which commenced operations in 2016. In the time since it’s been open, it has trained over three thousand people across various disciplines including Software Development, Data Science, Product Design, 3D printing, AR and VR Development, Blockchain Development and Digital Marketing.

Today our alumni is distributed across the world with a few in notable international companies such as Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Paxful, Andela, Simplifa GmbH, One Acre Fund, One World Coders, Data Culture, Toptal, Cloudflare among others, as well as local startups including Paystack, Kudi, TechAdvance, Mono etc. Interestingly, quite a number of them thanks to the pandemic are back in Kaduna but work remotely for these companies.

We have also incubated startups like Payant, a payment solutions company which currently processes over a billion naira monthly, Sudo - a card issuing infrastructure startup, which has gone on to raise $3.7 million (pre-seed) in equity investments, Kiwo - a hardware startup for remotely monitoring farms and SchoolMO, a school management software startup that administers and tracks the performance of over 100,000 pupils across Nigeria and also helps schools collect over 6 billion naira in school fees every term.
